Understanding Ray Optics Properly is more than a theoretical exercise. It is the foundation of everything we do as eye care professionals. From how light bends through a lens to how the eye processes and focuses it, mastering these principles sharpens both clinical thinking and patient care. Because when we truly understand how light behaves, we see our patients and our practice more clearly.

"The driver is set to go."

But that wasn't what she meant.

The bus engine hummed like a low, unresolved chord. Students laughed in the background, victory still dancing in their voices. But between them, something quieter sat down.

"What were you discussing with her?" she repeated, calmer this time.
"The competition," he replied. Then she nodded slowly.

"It must be interesting to find someone who discusses his defeat in the hands of his rival."

Zaima was not jealous in noise. She was jealous in nuance. In diction. In how she chose metaphors like a surgeon picking surgical tools…

"And admiration?" she asked, eyes forward. "Is that learning too?"
"Admiration," he said carefully, "is respect wearing light."
"And light," she replied, "can also cast shadows."
