If your kidney function is not where you want it to be, don't panic. In many cases, the goal is to protect the kidney function you have and address what may be affecting it. ❤️

Here are simple steps 👇

Drink the right amount of fluid — more is not always better, especially if your doctor has advised fluid restriction.

Reduce excess salt — this can help support healthy blood pressure.

Eat a balanced diet — choose more fresh foods and limit highly processed foods.

Control blood pressure and blood sugar — both are important for kidney protection.

Avoid unnecessary painkillers and self-medication.

Stay physically active according to your ability.

Keep your kidney checkups and monitor tests such as creatinine, eGFR and urine test.

Kidney health is not about perfection. Small, consistent changes can make a meaningful difference. ❤️

Which one of these habits are you working on right now? Comment below. 👇

Please, let's be intentional about what we eat. ❤️

Frequent consumption of highly processed foods, very salty foods, sugary drinks, and heavily processed snacks can contribute to problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and unhealthy weight all of which can increase the risk of kidney disease over time.

This doesn't mean you can never enjoy these foods. The goal is to reduce how often you take them and choose more fresh, balanced meals.

Your kidneys deserve care not fear. Start with one healthier choice today.

What is one junk food or sugary drink you're willing to reduce this week? 👇
