Africa’s healthcare $54B Al opportunity is blocked by a significant data gap.

Without Al models built within the local context, we are left with generic Al that does not understand our unique needs, which is dangerous when 70% of global maternal deaths occur within the continent.📌

That’s why we built our open-source models, MamaBot-Llama & Vax-Llama, trained on local data to provide safe, accurate, and culturally-aware health guidance.

Our models have already been downloaded over 7,900 times.
Now, we invite you, developers, researchers, organizations, and innovators, to take these models and build with them.
This is our moment for local leadership.

At HelpMum, we believe that when caregivers have access to the right information, more children can receive life-saving vaccines at the right time.💚

Through our Infusion Outreach Program, our team recently carried out routine immunization awareness visits across PHCs in Kano and Jigawa States, strengthening community access to vaccination information and reminders.

📍 Kano State
Our outreach covered:
• Sheka PHC
• Gurin Gawa PHC
• Sabuwar Gandu Health Post
• Wailare Health Post
• Naibawa PHC

📍 Jigawa State
Our team also visited:
• Danmasara PHC
• Hardo PHC

During these visits, HelpMum Vaccination Tracker posters were strategically placed in waiting areas, immunization clinics, and other high-traffic points within the facilities to help caregivers easily access vaccination schedules, vaccine timelines, and important immunization information.

Beyond the posters, we engaged healthcare workers on how these materials can support caregiver education and encourage the completion of children’s vaccination schedules.

The response across both states was encouraging. Mothers stopped to read, health workers welcomed the initiative, and meaningful conversations around routine immunization took place within the communities.

Every poster placed, every caregiver reached, and every conversation held is another step toward protecting more children from vaccine-preventable diseases.

Together, we can ensure that no child is left behind.

Today, we celebrate the joy, laughter, dreams, and limitless potential of every child.

But beyond the celebration, this moment is also a reminder that every child deserves to grow up safe, protected, healthy, and free from fear. While many children are filled with hope and happiness today, others are still facing difficult realities that no child should ever experience.

At HelpMum,we remain committed to supporting healthier beginnings and brighter futures for children through innovation, maternal and child health support, immunization awareness, and community-driven solutions.

Children deserve more than wishes.
They deserve safety.
They deserve care.
They deserve the chance to simply be children.

Happy Children’s Day. 💚

This week, HelpMum continued strengthening immunization efforts across communities in Oyo and Imo States through impactful facility infusion activities.

From PHCs in Ibadan to multiple health facilities across Owerri, caregivers and frontline health workers were introduced to the HelpMum Vaccination Tracker, Vaxbot, Mamabot, and ADVISER digital solutions designed to improve vaccine access, reminders, follow-up, and trusted health information for families.

Our teams also guided caregivers through installing and accessing these tools directly on their phones, while QR-enabled HelpMum banners were strategically placed across facilities for easier access to vaccination support and information.

Every visit, every conversation, and every caregiver reached brings us one step closer to a future where no child misses lifesaving vaccines.

At HelpMum, we are committed to using innovation to strengthen immunization systems, reduce vaccine-preventable diseases, and improve maternal and child health outcomes across Africa. 🌍✨

Skilled birth attendance in Nigeria: 45% in 2018. 46% in 2023.

One percentage point in five years is not progress, it’s a crisis in slow motion.
The gap isn’t just in facilities or funding. It’s in knowledge. And it’s the health worker in a rural community, without proper training, who feels it most.

At HelpMum Africa, we’re tackling this head-on. Our E-Learning Platform puts life-saving training directly into the hands of community health workers, midwives, and nurses wherever they are. The result? Over 5,000 health workers trained, and 25,000 mothers and babies who made it through safely.✅

Because when we equip the health worker, we save the mother.

That’s the mission. That’s the work. And we’re not stopping.
