Fermentation adds sour and salty flavours to your food, and in Chinese medicine, both have a specific effect on the body.

Enjoy your pickles. And remember to hold yourself back from eating the whole jar at once 😉

What does your mouth have to do with your v*gina? Probably a lot.

In my last reel I talked about the research behind the oral/va**nal microbiome connection. This post is about what you can practically do with that information.

These are tools I share with my patients alongside acupuncture and herbal medicine, because my goal is always for them to be as independent as possible and not have to rely on me all the time.💛

These posts are intentionally general and for educational purposes only, not a substitute for individual medical advice. Every woman and every body is different - if something doesn’t sound right for you or you are experiencing persistent symptoms, please consult a qualified healthcare professional or feel free to reach out in the comments or by DM.

Something I learned in a seminar by a few years ago that I have been using in practice ever since.

This is not directly Chinese medicine, but helpful and it fits perfectly with how Chinese medicine sees the body. Every system depends on and influences the others. You cannot treat one area in isolation.

Research shows that your oral microbiome and your va**nal microbiome share bacterial species and directly influence each other. Which means that taking care of your oral health may also be beneficial for your va**nal health.

In the next posts I’ll share tools I use with my patients alongside acupuncture and herbal medicine, because my goal is always for them to be as independent as possible💛

These posts are for educational purpose only, not medical advice. If symptoms persist, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

Before you treat, know what you are treating.

Get the swab first, before any medication, whether prescribed or over the counter.

Treating the wrong thing can take months to fix💛

I chose to close this Taiji series with vulvodynia, because every phase of the cycle I described in the previous posts usually directly influences how v***ar pain feels.

The Taiji applies to every women’s health condition, but this is where my focus is.

Vulvodynia affects 1 in 7 women, which means millions of women worldwide are living with it, many without even knowing there is a name for what they feel.

If you start tracking your pain alongside your cycle, you will likely start to see a pattern. When it peaks, when it eases, what you ate, how you moved, how stressed you were.
That pattern is information. And information is where we start.

Lifestyle changes are not always enough, and then a thorough personal intake is what allows me to understand your individual pattern according to Chinese medicine and get the support of acupuncture and herbs to change it. But tracking is something you can begin today.

If you have questions or want to share what you tracked, my DMs are open. 💛

✨Why don’t we talk about v***ar pain?

Vulvar and va**nal pain can be as intense as a migraine, but most people have never heard someone talk about it.
Many suffer in silence
Shamefully.
Alone.

Why❓
Because the v***a and va**na are still taboo.
Because even some doctors still don’t know what vulvodynia is.
Because pain in this area is too often minimized or misunderstood.

But 1 in 7 women experience it.
You are not alone.
Your pain is real.
And it has solutions 🌺

As a Chinese medicine therapist, I’ve supported many women with v***ar and va**nal complaints, including vulvodynia, vaginitis, and pain during in*******se.

Let’s start talking about it.
Let’s normalize vulvodynia. ✨

❓Censored for saying… v***a❓

I recently tried to post on Google a short message about vulvodynia and va**nal pain. But my post was immediately removed.

🔹Not for being offensive.
🔹Not for spreading misinformation.
🔹But because I used the words v***a and va**na.

Words that describe parts of the body that half the population has.
Words we need to name in order to talk about real, chronic pain.
Words that should never be taboo - especially in healthcare.

And it’s not just Google. On many social media platforms, posts that include female anatomical terms are shown to fewer people.

The algorithms treat women’s health like a violation.
If these terms make a system uncomfortable, that’s exactly why we need to say them louder.

Because the silence around v***ar and va**nal pain is part of what keeps people suffering quietly, often for years.

So here I am, saying it again:
Vulvodynia exists. Vulvar and va**nal pain is real. And it deserves real care.

✨Let’s change that.
✨Let’s name the pain.
✨Let’s talk about vulvodynia — without shame, without censorship.
