✨ Golden Details, Beautifully Collected ✨

Some ear stories are all about finding the perfect balance between simplicity and statement pieces.

For Lisette Doornbos, this curated ear brings together a beautiful collection of yellow gold jewellery, delicate hoops, subtle chains, and carefully placed cartilage piercings. Each piece adds its own character, creating a composition that feels effortless, personal, and timeless.

One of my favourite details is the beautiful ornate daith hoop from the Romy Boomsma collection. The daith piercing itself was placed by me at Kanpatha, while the rest of the jewellery comes from our own collection.

I love how the different textures, shapes, and small details complement one another. From the delicate chain to the minimal gold hoops, every piece has its place without taking attention away from the others.

That’s what makes a great ear curation. It’s not about wearing more jewellery, but about finding the right pieces that tell your story.

This ear curation on has been built with a delicate mix of gold studs and rings, carefully pierced and beautifully healed over time.

I love how the smaller pieces create a soft flow throughout the ear, while the statement piece on the lobe adds something unexpected. It’s that contrast that makes an ear story interesting. Not everything needs to match, as long as everything feels balanced.

Sometimes contrast is what brings an ear story to life.

For 由 , we combined warm yellow gold rings with subtle black studs, creating an ear curation that feels minimal, balanced, and just a little edgy.

These cartilage piercings were pierced and healed with carefully selected rings and studs, allowing each placement to become a natural part of the ear over time.

I love how the black details break up the gold without taking over. Each piece stands beautifully on its own, but together they create an effortless composition with plenty of character.

✨ The Good Old Days ✨

Some piercings carry a little piece of history.

Around 14 years ago, during my time working at Classic Ink & Mods, I had the pleasure of doing several of Bas Kosters facial and ear piercings.

Looking back at these photos now brings back so many memories. The style, the jewellery, the people, and a period that played an important part in shaping me into the piercer and jewellery maker I am today.

From facial piercings and gold details to carefully placed ear piercings, it’s great to see how these pieces became part of Bas’ unmistakable personal style.

Piercing has always been about more than the jewellery itself. It becomes part of who you are, and sometimes, many years later, it also becomes part of your history.

✨ GGD Approved, Once Again! 🥳 ✨

A little behind the scenes moment from Kanpatha.

I’m very happy to share that the studio has once again passed its GGD inspection. During the inspection, I was required to perform a piercing so that my working methods, hygiene protocols, and piercing procedure could be assessed in practice.

A perfect moment for to step in. 🖤

For her, we added a beautiful conch piercing with an emerald green stone by Buddha Jewelry , bringing a rich touch of colour to her ear story. Her high lobe piercing is styled with a delicate cluster, also by Buddha Jewelry

Beautiful jewellery is important, but what happens behind the scenes matters just as much. A clean environment, professional working methods, high quality piercing jewellery, and attention to every step of the process are at the heart of Kanpatha.

So yes, officially GGD approved again, and very proud of it. 🥳

✨ Sis From Another Miss ✨

Some ear stories are about jewellery. Others are about the person, the journey, and all the years in between.

With , it’s definitely all of the above. 🖤

Over the years, we’ve created an ear story filled with carefully placed ear and cartilage piercings, mixing gold and white details, rings, studs, and pieces with their own character.

Several of the pieces were custom made at Kanpatha, created specifically to become part of her existing collection. For me, that’s where piercing and jewellery making come together. Not simply adding another piercing, but looking at the complete ear and creating something that feels like it has always belonged there.
