Should you change how you use red light therapy throughout the year from winter to summer?

Well that depends - does your routine and environment change? If it doesn't then perhaps your RLT sessions don't change.

If it does change and you take advantage of the full spectrum light outside then perhaps you can begin to use your RLT very specifically, like I mention in the video.

Red light therapy is flexible and needed in Norway, but how you best use it depends on your routine.

Your sunglasses that you were told were "protecting you" might actually be "protecting you" from optimising your form and function!

For years, we were told they protect your eyes from damage without any mention of what they are doing to your physiological and psychological systems inside your body. What if that lethargy you feel all the time, isn't anything other than the sunglasses you are wearing blocking signals getting into your eyes?

Sunglasses can be worn when the need arises, but for most people, most of the time, they simply aren't needed the way people use them - especially in the mornings.

Step 1 is understanding that 75% of the light signals coming into your eyes function and physiologic signalling and not used in visual patterning. So you might see ok with the sunglasses, but that is only 25% of the picture (pun intended)! How much of the 75% that drives hormonal, metabolic and circadian signalling are you negatively affecting by wearing them?

The UV index was 5 here in Drammen today. That meant that the fear mongering started early on the news!

Don't be fooled, understand sensible sun exposure so that you actually function better. Understand what a tan is and how it helps.

I read research papers and research most weeks and i like to see what has been published in the previous weeks - even if it is just the abstract that is available.

This week an interesting paper that was very small, in-vitro sparked my interest. It was a out 810nm light and oocyte maturation to help with IVF.

This was a very small "proof of concept" study but the results were impressive. 100% quicker maturation rate and up 240% increase in oxidative phosphorylation!!

Again - this was a small study and a larger one needs to be done, along with testing for any negative factors, but it's good early signs using 810nm light.

You are more than just the tap water you drink.

The tap water you drink actually looks nothing like the water inside you. That is because your body has gel-like water that is structured to help cellular function occur.

Disruption to this structure - like poor electron balance or massive EMF exposure can lead to sub-optimal performance of cellular functions and signalling.

In real terms - your body water is more than the water you drink. It's the electrolytes you consume, the electron balance, the photons you consume.

Recharge your water by grounding and getting into the sun. Make sure you are getting enough electrolytes and maintain that cellular charge so you can keep charge differentials.
