Bubs: a 5 and a half old dog who didn't trust men. Scared of waves. Bikes. Scooters. Children. Kite surfers. Lost his owner. Moved to a new place with a new owner. Moved again! Had a kitten come into his life.
Through all these upheaval's, Bub's has not only changed his response patterns, but he has revelled in all of these situations with curiosity and trust. If this dog can change his deep seated trauma response patterns, then what are my possibilities?

I need look no further for a mentor in life ....

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, my father took his last breath, with his wife, daughter, grandchildren, son and daughters in law and myself by his side.

We were so privlidged to witness his transition. Afterwards, as I was leaving his ward, I witnessed other people in their final stages of life, not so lucky. They were lying alone in their beds with no one else (besides the amazing hospital staff) to comfort them.

It made me realise how blessed our family is and how fortunate I was to have this man as my father in life.

Thank you dad for all your wisdom and teachings. 🙏✨️
