People always ask me what I wanted this place to feel like when I opened it.
Honestly, calm.
Not loud walls.
Not intimidating.
Not a space that feels cold or clinical either.
I wanted it to feel open, warm and easy to walk into.
A place where people could chill for a second.
Most parents that get tattooed have a nap during their session.
Tattoo studios can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially if it’s your first tattoo. I never wanted that feeling here.
The clean lines, the natural light, the brick, the wood, the open space… every part of it was intentional.
I wanted the studio to feel creative without being cluttered.
Some people come in excited.
Some nervous.
Some going through breakups, grief, huge life changes or celebrating an important time and sometimes just cos!
I think the space around you matters during those moments.
I wanted to build somewhere that felt grounding.
A place where people could feel comfortable enough to be themselves.
Still to this day, when I walk in before everyone arrives and the studio is quiet, it feels exactly how I hoped it would.
