🌿 Getting creative with recipes and scrapbooking!

We have been using our visual reciepe cards to create interactive, hands-on scrapbooks, and it has always been such a hit.

Ferns love having their very own recipe pages that are clear and easy to follow. Even better—they’ve been jumping right in to make and test the recipes themselves!

There is nothing quite like the pride of crafting your own book, following each step, and seeing the delicious results come together from scratch.

So cool to watch their confidence and independence grow through every page!

🌿 Looking for a fun, screen-free activity to keep your ferns engaged and regulated at home? Fidget trading is a fantastic way to turn ordinary downtime into an interactive, sensory-friendly game!

Whether it’s pop-its, squishies, stress balls, or stretch tubes, trading at home encourages decision-making, social negotiation, and tactile exploration. It's a playful way to practice turn-taking, value sharing, and creative play all in one go.

🌿 How it works:

Set up a trade zone with your favourite sensory tools.

Place your offer on the board.

Use the classic buttons:

X for add more!
✓ to accept the deal!
✕ to decline!

🌿 Even the adults need to be able to cope with overwhelm. Having a fidget kit is the best tool for all environments!

🌿 More kids distractions packs dropped of to the Dunedin Hospital Ed today. Colouring, puzzles, stickers, fidgets and things to keep little hands busy! Be sure to ask if your little one visits ED and you're struggling to keep them distracted and calm.
