👶👁️ Did you know babies don’t see the world the way we do?

When a baby is born, their eyesight is actually quite blurry. Newborns see best from around 20–30 cm away— roughly the distance from their face to yours while you’re holding or feeding them. 🥹

And here’s the cool part…

👀 Babies are especially drawn to faces and high-contrast patterns because their visual system is still developing.

Over the first few months, their ability to focus, track moving objects and see colour improves rapidly. By around 6 months, their vision is much closer to an adult’s in many respects.

So when your newborn stares intensely at your face… they really are studying you. ❤️

Those tiny eyes are doing a LOT of learning. 🧠

👣 Did you know?

A baby’s foot is made up of far more cartilage than bone when they’re born!

Many of the bones in those tiny feet are still developing and gradually harden (ossify) as your baby grows. 🥹

That’s one reason baby feet are so soft, flexible and completely adorable. 🤍

Tiny feet, lots of growing to do! 👣
