𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗞𝗜𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗡: Our local leaders traded their pens for pans during the exciting Nutri-Duto Competition at the NutriFest: Culminating Celebration last September 23, 2026!

This special cooking showdown featured our very own 𝑷𝒖𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑩𝑵𝑪 𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒔, who took on the challenge of whipping up delicious, affordable dishes. Each entry creatively highlighted the 𝙋𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙮 concept showing us exactly how to balance 𝘎𝘰, 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘸, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘎𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘧𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘴 on every plate!

Our Municipal Nutrition Committee, represented by MNAO Designate Ms. Nyrine Keith C. Madilat, joined the provincial celebration at the Capitol in La Trinidad.

Congratulations to our winners who showcased their talent and dedication:
• 𝑵𝒊𝒄𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝑪. 𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒚 (Brgy. Tikey) – 2nd Place in the Cooking Contest for her 𝓟𝓲𝓷𝓲-𝓽𝓪𝓴 (sweet potato stuffed with kiniing and peanut in gata and green leaves)!
• 𝑴𝒔. 𝑨𝒊𝒛𝒂 𝑺. 𝑨𝒈𝒚𝒂𝒐 & 𝑴𝒔. 𝑭𝒍𝒐𝒓 𝑺𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒎 (Brgy. Nawal) – Consolation Prize for the Nutri-booth!

A startling 2 in 5 adults and 1 in 4 children in the Philippines are now overweight or obese. This is an alarming health crisis, a leading cause of preventable diseases and early death all over the country.

It's time to change our behavior and follow the advice of health care providers, especially nutritionist-dietitians.
