The Program Implementation Review and Planning Workshop on Environmental and Occupational Health was successfully conducted on January 26β30, 2026 at Deluxe Hotel Cogon, Cagayan de Oro City. The activity brought together key stakeholders, program managers, and health professionals to review program accomplishments, assess implementation challenges, and strengthen strategies related to environmental safety, occupational health, and toxicology services.
Focused discussions highlighted the importance of integrating toxicological surveillance, poisoning prevention, risk assessment, and capacity-building in addressing environmental and workplace-related exposures. Through collaborative planning and knowledge-sharing, participants reinforced their commitment to evidence-based interventions that promote safer workplaces, healthier communities, and strengthened toxicology response systems.
The outcomes of this workshop will guide program directions and enhance coordinated efforts in environmental and occupational health and toxicology, ensuring responsive, sustainable, and quality public health services.
