Altapresyon (mataas na presyon ng dugo) ay nangangahulugang ang dugo ay masyadong malakas ang pagtulak laban sa wall ng ating ugat sa dugo. Maraming tao ang may ganitong kondisyon ngunit hindi nila ito alam dahil kadalasan ay wala itong sintomas.

Kapag hindi nagamot, maaari itong magdulot ng atake sa puso, stroke, dementia, sakit sa bato, at iba pang mga problema sa kalusugan. Ang maagang pagsusuri at paggamot ay maaaring makapagliligtas ng buhay.

🦠 Ludwig’s Angina

Ang Ludwig’s angina ay isang malubha at mabilis kumalat na impeksiyon sa ilalim ng dila at sa leeg (submandibular at sublingual spaces).
Emergency ito dahil maaaring magdulot ng pagbara sa daanan ng hangin (airway obstruction).

Pinakakaraniwang pinagmumulan:
• Impeksyong dental, madalas mula sa infected na lower molar tooth
• Gum infections
• Trauma sa bibig
• Post-extraction infection
• Immunocompromised (diabetes, steroids, weak immune system)

⚠️ Mga Sintomas
• Pamamaga sa ilalim ng panga (bilateral)
• Matigas at pananakit ng leeg
• Pag-angat ng dila (dahil sa pamamaga)
• Hirap lumunok (dysphagia)
• Hirap magsalita, “hot potato voice”
• Drooling o tuloy-tuloy na laway
• Hirap huminga → pinaka-delikado
• Lagnat, panginginig

- Chest pressure or tightness

- Call emergency services right away - don't wait.
- Keep the person sitting or in a semi-reclined position.
- If unconscious and not breathing → start CPR.
- Do not try to drive yourself to the hospital.

Hyperthyroidism, also called overactive thyroid, happens when your thyroid makes and releases high levels of thyroid hormone. This speeds up your metabolism, which can affect several aspects of your health. The condition can throw your whole wellbeing off balance. You may not feel like yourself or even feel out of control of your body. It's important to get medical treatment if you develop signs of hyperthyroidism so you can get back to feeling like yourself.

Kidney disease means your kidneys aren't working properly and are beginning to lose their function. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) worsens over time. High blood pressure and diabetes are two common causes of CKD.

There's no cure for CKD, but you can take steps to preserve function for as long as possible.

If you have reduced kidney function:
✅Make and keep your regular healthcare provider visits. These providers monitor your kidney health.
✅ Manage your blood glucose (sugar) if you have diabetes.
✅ Avoid taking painkillers and other medications that may make your kidney disease worse.
✅ Manage your blood pressure levels.
✅ Follow a kidney-friendly diet. Dietary changes may include limiting protein, eating foods that reduce blood cholesterol levels and limiting sodium (salt) and potassium intake.
✅ Don't smoke.
✅ Exercise/be active on most days of the week.
✅ Stay at a weight that's healthy for you.

Late-stage kidney disease requires dialysis or a kidney transplant.
