“These operations demonstrate our determination to pursue wanted individuals and enforce arrest warrants wherever they may be found. We will ensure that law enforcement efforts remain grounded in due process and respect for the rule of law,” PGEN Nartatez said.

“Hindi dapat makaiwas sa batas ang sinumang may kinakaharap na kaso. Paiigtingin natin ang paghahanap sa mga wanted person upang maiharap sila sa hukuman at mapanagot alinsunod sa batas,” he added.

The PNP Focused Agenda guides institutional transformation, with Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) strengthening efforts to apprehend wanted persons and enforce arrest warrants.

ONE-DAY ILLEGAL DRUG CRACKDOWN NETS ₱48-M HAUL, 3 HIGH-VALUE SUSPECTS ARRESTED

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the leadership of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., intensified its campaign against illegal drugs on October 9, 2026, intercepting multimillion-peso drug shipments at a mail processing facility in Pasay City and arresting three high-value individuals in separate operations in Camarines Norte and Iloilo City.

At a mail processing facility along Domestic Road in Pasay City, personnel of the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group seized eight inbound parcels containing suspected illegal drugs valued at ₱44,281,000.00. The shipments contained approximately 5,221 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱35,502,800.00, 1,047 grams of suspected ma*****na worth ₱1,570,500.00, 261 grams of suspected co***ne worth ₱1,383,300.00, 1,001 grams of suspected ketamine worth ₱5,005,000.00, and 482 suspected ecstasy tablets worth ₱819,400.00.

In Barangay Poblacion 2, Basud, Camarines Norte, a buy-bust operation led to the arrest of a high-value individual and the confiscation of approximately 315 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱2,142,000.00. The operation was conducted by the Basud Municipal Police Station, the Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit, the Provincial Intelligence Unit, and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 5.

Meanwhile, police operatives arrested two high-value individuals in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Calumpang, Molo, Iloilo City, and seized approximately 240 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱1,632,000.00. The operation involved Police Station 4 of the Iloilo City Police Office, the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6, the Regional Intelligence Division 6, and Special Operations Unit 6 of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group.

The three operations yielded a combined estimated value of ₱48,055,000.00 in suspected illegal drugs, comprising 5,776 grams of shabu, 1,047 grams of ma*****na, 261 grams of co***ne, 1,001 grams of ketamine, and 482 suspected ecstasy tablets. The evidence seized in Pasay City is under the custody of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Laboratory Service at its National Headquarters in Quezon City for documentation and proper disposition.

PGEN Nartatez stressed that disrupting the supply of illegal drugs requires sustained enforcement against drug shipments and distribution networks.

“Every intercepted shipment and every successful operation brings us closer to dismantling the networks that threaten public safety. We will pursue those involved in the illegal drug trade and ensure that every operation upholds the law,” PGEN Nartatez said.

“Hindi tayo magpapabaya sa paglaban sa ilegal na droga. Paiigtingin natin ang mga hakbang upang maprotektahan ang ating mga komunidad at mailayo ang ating mga kabataan sa panganib nito,” he added.

These accomplishments support the PNP Focused Agenda, a framework for police transformation that strengthens accountability and effective law enforcement. Through its key priority of Enhanced Managing Police Operations, the PNP reinforces targeted anti-drug efforts anchored in lawful and effective enforcement.

As the PNP strengthens its campaign against illegal drugs under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it assures the public of its steadfast commitment to “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”

PNP WARNS ONLINE BUYERS AS SUSPECT IN ₱304K CAMERA THEFT CASE IS ARRESTED

Under the leadership of Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), authorities continue to strengthen efforts against property-related crimes, including the illegal sale of allegedly stolen items through online marketplaces.

A 22-year-old delivery rider was arrested on October 7, 2026, in Manila during an entrapment operation after allegedly offering stolen camera equipment worth approximately ₱304,000.00 for sale online.

The case stemmed from a report by the property owner, who recognized the missing cameras and lenses in an online listing and sought police assistance. Operatives arranged a meeting with the suspect, during which the equipment was presented and its identifying details were verified before the arrest.

The suspect is facing a complaint for alleged violation of Presidential Decree No. 1612, or the Anti-Fencing Law of 1979. The case is being processed for the appropriate legal proceedings.

The operation supports the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO), by reinforcing timely police response, evidence-based action, and coordination with the public in addressing reported crimes. It is also consistent with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s call for responsive and accountable public service.

Chief PNP PGen Nartatez reminded the public to exercise caution when purchasing high-value items online.

“Kapag bibili tayo online, huwag lang presyo ang tingnan. Check the seller, ask for proof of ownership, and be cautious when a deal seems too good to be true. Kung may kahina-hinalang item o transaction, i-report agad sa pulis. A little caution can help protect you from losing your money or unknowingly buying stolen property,” PGen Nartatez said.

The PNP encourages online buyers and sellers to keep transaction records, verify the identity and credibility of sellers, and report suspicious listings or offers to the proper authorities. Members of the public should avoid purchasing goods when ownership cannot be reasonably established and should not attempt to confront suspected offenders on their own.

Through sustained police operations and public cooperation, the PNP remains committed to protecting communities and promoting safer online transactions in line with Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.
