DOH: OVER 9,000 FILIPINOS DIAGNOSED WITH PROSTATE CANCER EVERY YEAR
According to data from the Department of Health (DOH) and the Global Cancer Observatory (GLOBOCAN), over 9,000 new cases of prostate cancer are recorded in the country, particularly among men aged 50 and above. Since early symptoms are often not felt, it is essential to have regular consultations and examinations such as the Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) test and Digital Re**al Examination (DRE).
Remember: Early detection is the key to a higher chance of recovery. If you experience any changes in your urination, do not hesitate to consult your nearest health center or primary care physician immediately.
