Nurses are there in those crucial first moments—at the bedside, encouraging a tired mother, helping with that first latch, reassuring her when she thinks she has no milk, and sometimes simply staying long enough to watch one full feed.

What a meaningful way to celebrate Breastfeeding Month! 🩷🤱

Thank you, Philippine Pediatric Society – Eastern Visayas Chapter, for giving me the opportunity to talk about something very close to my heart—The Golden Hour: The First Hour Matters. ✨

Beyond the guidelines and science, my hope is always to help our healthcare workers feel more confident in supporting moms during those precious first moments with their babies. Sometimes, a little encouragement, the right guidance, and a pair of helping hands can make all the difference in a mother’s breastfeeding journey.

Grateful for every opportunity to teach, learn, and advocate for our moms and babies. 🩷
