One weekend. 140+ volunteers. A beautiful impact that will keep growing! 💚

More than 140 TELUS Digital volunteers joined forces with Padurea Copiilor Association to transform 750 square meters at PEPI in Ilfov County into a vibrant outdoor educational laboratory and sensory meadow - a special place where children and young people can explore, experience, and connect with nature for years to come. 🌼

And together, we made it happen!

🌱 773 plants added to the space, including aromatic and medicinal herbs, ornamental trees, and fruit-bearing bushes.

🌷 Approximately 1,250 spring flower bulbs planted to bring colour and life to the meadow.

🪴 A beautiful tea garden, a 70-metre pathway, recycled-pallet furniture, and natural seating areas brought to life through teamwork and creativity.

That’s the spirit of TELUS Days of Giving: coming together, giving back, and creating positive change that lasts.

It’s almost time to put down some roots 🌱

Tomorrow, we’ll be joining Padurea Copiilor at PEPI Pasărea - Participatory and Inclusive Educational Tree Nursery - for TELUS Days of Giving 2026.

We’re bringing our energy, teamwork and a lot of hands-on spirit to help create a demonstration tea garden, turning the space into a permanent, educational garden that will welcome hundreds of children each year to learn about nature and environmental stewardship.

The plan is ready.

This year, our TELUS Days of Giving is about more than volunteering for a day. 🌿

Together with Pădurea Copiilor Association, we’re getting our hands dirty to create a demonstration tea garden, bringing together trees, shrubs and medicinal plants - while creating a space where nature, learning and community can grow side by side.

And the best part? The work doesn’t stop when the day ends.

And if you’re wondering what we mean by a project built around a clear need and measurable impact, here’s one more example from our Community Board.

💚 Asociația Necuvinte’s “Her Health Matters” is currently improving access to healthcare and health education for girls and women in Bucharest’s Ferentari community. Through a mobile medical caravan and health education workshops, the project aims to support 130 girls and women, with measurable outcomes ranging from preventive screenings to increased health knowledge and awareness.

If your NGO has its own well-developed project waiting for the opportunity to move forward, don’t leave it until “tomorrow.” We’re running out of tomorrows. 😉

Is your NGO ready to turn a community challenge into practical tools for change? 💚
That’s exactly what Good Life Performers Association set out to do with “Future Leaders – in Schools and Communities.” project. The project addressed violence, bullying and cyberbullying among young people in Bihor County through a combination of education, technology and community involvement.
It brought physical and digital “Red Button” reporting mechanisms to 20 schools, alongside workshops and resources designed to help students, teachers and parents recognize, prevent and report violence. The initiative was designed to directly involve at least 2,000 students and 200 teachers.
Now we’re looking for more projects ready to turn a clear community need into meaningful action.

Are you an NGO that has a well-planned project that could create new opportunities for young people in your community? This is your chance to bring it to life. 💚

Sometimes, the right response to a community need is to create a space where new possibilities can grow.

💚 Academia pentru Copii și Tineri ACT’s “Multi-Sensory Garden for Blind Children” project is currently taking shape with support from the Community Board.

At its heart is a multi-sensory garden where 100 visually impaired children and 50 high-school volunteers come together through white-cane orientation, horse-assisted therapy, music and dance, building independence, mobility and social connections, with progress and impact measured along the way.

20 volunteers, many busy hands and a Saturday well spent. 💚

For this year’s Kindness in a Jar, our team members rolled up their sleeves to peel, chop, prep and pickle - turning fresh vegetables into ingredients for future meals for the children and families supported by Asociația „Ana și Copiii”.

And when the work took a little longer than planned? They stayed until the job was done. 💚

Between fresh herbs, jars of pickles and a traditional Romanian lunch, the day felt a little like autumn at our grandparents’ homes in the countryside.

Good people. Good energy. A lot of kindness.
