Welcome to The Happy Liver Project!
I am Lynn Luciano and I'm glad you're here. And whether you've been with me from the beginning or you've just discovered this page, I'd like to tell you a little about why it exists and what you can expect going forward.
First, a little about my story.
Back in 2014, I was diagnosed with fatty liver disease (now known as MASLD).
Like many people, I had to figure out what that meant for my health and what I could actually do about it. I started paying much closer attention to what I ate, how much I moved, my weight, and the everyday habits that affect our health.
It wasn't an overnight transformation. It took time, consistency, and a willingness to change things I'd previously taken for granted.
But over time, I managed to reverse that condition.
That experience changed the way I looked at food, exercise, and taking care of my health. It also made me realize just how confusing the subject can be when you're trying to find practical answers.
What should you eat? Which habits are worth changing? Is a food you've always considered healthy actually a good choice for you? How do you separate useful information from exaggerated claims, miracle cures, and advice that sounds convincing but isn't backed by good evidence?
That's why this page exists now - to help you keep your liver happy.
Here's some of what you can expect moving forward:
🥗 Food and nutrition for a happy liver: Practical information about everyday foods, healthier choices, ingredients, sugar, fats, and the things worth paying attention to when planning your meals.
🍎 Liver-friendly foods and recipes: Simple meal ideas, breakfasts, snacks, dinners, and realistic alternatives that make healthy eating easier to put into practice.
🚶 Healthy habits that make a difference: Exercise, walking, weight management, and the small, sustainable lifestyle changes that can support better health.
🧠Liver health explained simply: Fatty liver, MASLD, metabolic health, common misconceptions, and research-based information without unnecessary jargon.
đź’š Lessons from my own experience: What I changed, what I learned, what surprised me, and what I wish I'd understood earlier in my journey.
I'll also share useful articles, practical tips, and resources from my website, FattyLiverDiary.com, where I've been writing about fatty liver and liver health for years.
My goal is simple: to make useful health information easier to understand and easier to apply in everyday life.
No miracle cures. No promises of instant results. No need to turn your entire life upside down overnight.
This page isn't about perfection, guilt, or judging people for their habits. It's about learning, making informed decisions, and finding realistic ways to take better care of ourselves.
I should also make one thing clear: I'm sharing my personal experience and educational information, not providing medical diagnoses or replacing professional medical advice. Everyone's circumstances are different, and decisions about your health should be made with a qualified healthcare professional.
Welcome to The Happy Liver Project! Better habits. Healthier liver. Happier life. đź’š
