Something I say all the time to clients is that I like to approach the pelvic floor from the "outside in"
What I have know for years is that leaking and pressure /pelvic floor symptoms are most often not the direct result of the pelvic floor itself/alone. It's about how the system works together.
We need to zoom out of the pelvis, to the hip, spine, thorax, leg foot and even up to the neck/jaw. But it's more nuanced than just "do thoracic mobility"
No hate to the first exercise. But this is not really mobilizing my thorax and not helping me learn how to integrate my thorax to pelvis/pelvic floor.
It's an outside in thorax technique vs #2 which is helping me figure out how to mobilize thorax using the breath /diaphragm/ adductors / pelvic floor from the inside out.
In the mamastefit community we are digging into this nuance , and loading up on how to experiment with new ways of thinking!
