MELT with Heidi

MELT with Heidi Neck pain? Shoulder tension? Back issues? I spent a year searching for relief before MELT changed everything. Now I've been teaching it since 2012.

Classes, workshops & private sessions in Aberdeen, SD - Plymouth, MN and virtual. πŸ’™ The MELT Method is not exercise but a self-care technique that allows people to get themselves out of pain by tapping into the Connective Tissue & Nervous Systems. Symptoms that you may need MELT:
Inflammation
Sleep issues
Digestive issues
Weight gain
Lack of energy
Stress injuries
Joint Pain
Anxiety & Depression.

MELT is a simple self-care technique you can use every day to make your body feel better and function more efficiently. Relieve aches & pains brought on by aging and active living. Reduce inflammation, ease chronic neck and low back strain, improve alignment and learn how to keep your whole body working better. My story: After MONTHS of chronic back pain and spending thousands of dollars on treatments, therapies, ointments & pills, I finally found something to not only eliminate my pain but also keep it from returning. I was so impressed with what MELT did for my quality of life, that I decided to become a certified instructor. I felt that EVERYONE needed to know that there were options and there was no one teaching anything like this around Aberdeen. Now I have witnessed many people eliminate pain in my workshops and I get emails and texts every week thanking me for changing their lives and that keeps me wanting to learn more and bring more MELT to our community. I have been using MELT as I teach Pilates to improve my attendee's performance and to ensure that they are getting the best possible workout. The results speak for themselves. MELT has been life-changing for me and for my family. I run most of my classes through our local YMCA but am also available for private consultations, group parties and group presentations.

The Breathing Trick Your Nervous System Already Knows

Here's something worth knowing: research on slow, paced breathing β€” about five breaths a minute β€” shows it can improve what's called vagal tone, a measure of how well your nervous system settles itself back down after stress.

Five breaths a minute is slower than most of us breathe without help. It's genuinely hard to find that pace on your own.
This is where the Fascia Hydrator's oscillating setting earns its keep. Not because of the vibration itself, but because the six-second rise and six-second fall gives your breath something steady to follow.

Inhale as it builds, exhale as it fades. About two to three minutes is all it takes to feel your whole body downshift.

You already have the nervous system that knows how to do this. Sometimes it just needs a pace to follow.

Tonight's the Night! πŸ’™
There is still room to come try the Fascia Hydrator with me at the YMCA Community Room (to the left of Front Desk). 6-7:15pm.

It's a seated, no-floor-work experience; just gentle vibration and breath, supporting your body's natural clearance and immune pathway. $15, and I'll have everything you need to try a lymph drainage technique, breath entrainment and more.

It's time to enhance your health.

This Week:
Your body is already fluent in a language most of us were never taught to read.

Fascia is the connective network wrapped around every muscle, joint, and organ you have. When it's gliding well, movement tends to feel lighter and easier. When it's not, that's often where stiffness, achy joints, and that vague "something's off" feeling comes from.

This week, come feel the difference for yourself at a Fascia Hydrator Intro Session. No experience needed β€” just curiosity. I'll show you exactly how the tool works, how to use it at home, and why we say: we don't manipulate fascia, we communicate with it.

πŸ—“οΈ Tuesday, Sept 1 | 1:00–2:15pm (YMCA Activity Room)
πŸ—“οΈ Wednesday, Sept 2 | 6:00–7:15pm (YMCA Community Room)

Both rooms are on the main floor of the Aberdeen YMCA.

Both sessions already have people registered but I love a full class. You can register here: aberdeen.recliquecore.com/programs/7988/melt/?locations=13 (no Y membership needed to set up an account) or stop at the Y and register at the front desk.

You already have more control over how your body feels than you think. This is just the invitation to learn how

That's August. Thank you β€” genuinely.

Some of you came every single week or even multiple times a week. We learned about the Fascia Hydrator, how to support your low back and our regular MELT classes with lots of neuro-strength built in.

Some of you have been reading these posts for months without ever walking through a door, and that's completely fine too. Learning about your body is worth something even before you do anything about it.

September brings a new Fascia Hydrator Intro class and then 3 week series events, and the Monday evening class continues (we have been holding that class for over 15 years).

If you want to know first, the newsletter is where I put the actual details β€” dates, registration links, and the longer explanations that don't fit here.

And if you're reading this on Monday night with a sore back and no plans to do anything about it β€” take three slow breaths where the exhale is longer than the inhale. Right now. That counts. It always counted.

See you in September.

What people have shared after using the Fascia Hydrator for 30 days:
● πŸŒ™ Better sleep
● 🌊 Easier digestion
● ✨ Less puffiness
● πŸ™Œ Less pain & stiffness

These are the kinds of things participants have shared each week of our Hydrator workshop. The first step is to attend an Intro Session. During that 75 minutes, you will learn more about the hydrator that pairs with your breath to support your body's natural rhythms. When your breath slows down and syncs with the tool's motion, your whole nervous system gets the message: it's safe to relax. That is just ONE of the treatments but it is a big one and you do it seated in a chair.

● This week: Tue 9/1 (1:00 PM) or Wed 9/2 (6:00 PM)
● Aberdeen Y | $15

Try This for the Next 30 Seconds

Right now, without changing anything: notice your breath. Just notice it β€” don't slow it, don't deepen it, just watch it for a few rounds.

That's the entire first step of MELT and you just did it reading a caption. That's how simple this can start.

Vibration sounds like a gimmick until you understand what it's actually doing.
Your connective tissue is packed with sensory nerve endings; so many that researchers now describe fascia as a sensory organ. Those endings are listening constantly, and different kinds of input say different things to them.
Sustained pressure says: hold still.
Rhythmic vibration says something else entirely. It's a signal your nervous system reads as safe and non-threatening, which lets protective tone come down. Fluid starts moving. The tissue softens without anyone forcing it to.
That's what the Fascia Hydrator is for. Not to pound anything. To give your system a rhythm gentle enough that it stops guarding and starts flowing.

I have 2 classes next week to introduce you to vibration using the Fascia Hydrator. You will get to see some of the techniques and give them a try to see if this tool belongs in your self-care tool box. Hope to see you in class.

Two chances to try something new β€” no experience needed, and you don't need your own tool. 🀍

The Fascia Hydrator is a vibrational tool that supports your body's natural clearance and immune pathway . Think gentle vibration that helps things flow the way they're meant to. This is a fully seated experience (no floor work), so it's open to every body.
Choose the session that fits your schedule:

πŸ—“οΈ Daytime: Tuesday, Sept 1 Β· 1:00-2:15 PM Β· YMCA Activity Center (near elevator on main floor)

πŸŒ™ Evening: Wednesday, Sept 2 Β· 6:00–7:15 PM Β· Community Room (across from the Front Desk)
πŸ’΅ $15 per person
πŸ‘• Comfortable, lightweight clothing recommended

You already have the controls for how your body feels day to day; this class just introduces you to a new one
