I have been writing more and more offline, and sharing less online on these platforms, as I do not always feel my vulnerable shares and reflections belong in this space. I have started a platform on Beehiiv, if you want to subscribe and join me there.

This is my first piece, specifically about grief and the loss of my brother to mental illness from a neurodivergent and highly sensitive perspective. I hope to continue to write and share about musings and reflections from a highly sensitive person and reflections on life as a therapist, being a bodyworker for twenty plus years and what I have learned and witnessed about healing, grief tending, trauma and trauma recovery, relationships, consciousness and dreaming, being an aging woman and changing careers at the age of 50, life with a sibling with mental illness and at times psychosis, death and loss of identity, mothering, life after cancer and living with chronic illness and more. Please join me and share ❤️

If you are looking for a space to be with and honor grief, slow down and reflect on your own sensitive nature or the loss of our greatest loves, I would love to have you. Link in bio

This one has definitely kept us on our toes and on the move. He was the kid that wanted and tried everything, full of energy and spirit from day one.

It’s official! Joaquin received an offer and a scholarship to Seattle University, a D1 school that will also participate in the West Coast Conference, so we can still see him play! It’s been a stressful anticipated wait, but happy to say he is committed! From day one he has known where he wants to go on this journey, and has worked his tail off to get here! Congratulations son! We love you and are so proud 🥹🥹🥹

I’ve always wanted to go to Vancouver area and some of the surrounding islands, for many reasons, but one of the main ones, to see an actual Orca in its natural wild habitat. We spent a few days on Vancouver island, and got lucky enough to see a resident pod on a whale tour.

Orcas are matriarchal, where the pods are lead by the elder females, often the grandmothers, who hold the wisdom of the lineage and guide the pod. The pod consists of the older female, her sons and daughters and their children.

Orcas like humans, go through menopause between the ages of 40-50, and can live to be 100 years old. The grandmother hypothesis, why a small amount of species live well beyond they reproduce, like humans, is a survival advantage, as her presence directly impacts the survival of her offspring.

Butchart Gardens was like a botanical Alice in Wonderland, never seen a botanical garden like that, and I’ve seen a lot 😂😍

My last night in Michigan, packing and moving my mom (and her cat Stache) to Cali. We are exhausted to say the least 😓 Mom didn’t want a send off in a kayak down the Detroit river, but agreed to one last Farm Margarita at Coriander Kitchen along the river. Saying goodbye to Michigan, and hoping that California will welcome my mom and cat with open arms and heart. Wish them the best on this next chapter ❤️

Checking on these beauties daily, otherwise I will miss the grand opening. Two of my all time favorites (but most herbalists call most plants their favorites 😂) But I love poppies so much I have them tattooed on my body. Every flower has its own energetic medicine and beauty, just like you ♥️❤️💜💚🩵💙 for
