Nobody wakes up one day pulling a heavy barbell off the floor perfectly.

To the moms raising families while also showing up for their patients, friends, coworkers, and communities every single day… y’all are seriously impressive.

And to the moms putting in the work for themselves too. Making time to move, heal, get stronger, and take care of your body in the middle of everything else life demands.

Watching women support each other and grow more confident in themselves has been one of the coolest parts of what we do.

Deadlifts are one of the most misunderstood movements out there.

A properly coached deadlift can help people build strength, confidence, coordination, and resilience in ways that actually carry over into everyday life.

Picking up your kid.
Loading groceries.
Working in the yard.
Getting back in the gym.
Feeling capable again.

Movement is not the enemy.
And strength is almost never a bad thing.

A recent systematic review looked at shockwave therapy for Achilles tendinopathy across 9 different studies with over 500 participants.

The findings were a good reminder that rehab is about more than passive treatment alone.

The basics still matter:
• Progressive loading
• Strength
• Movement
• Managing activity well
• Staying consistent long enough for the body to adapt

That’s usually where the real long term progress happens.

Now, does this mean passive treatments never help anyone? Not necessarily. Some people may still experience temporary symptom relief from them.

But symptom relief alone is not the same thing as building strength, confidence, and long term capacity.

At In Power PT, we focus on active, individualized rehab that helps people move better, get stronger, and stay active long after the pain calms down.
