Hello, Summer!

This month at Life Distilled and Homegrown, we’re leaning into all the things that make this season FUN: time outside, hands-on creativity, local events, and community connection.

Below find our upcoming workshops, including terrarium building, a floral embroidery hoop class, and a special collaboration with Reiman Gardens! Plus, Downtown Ames Art Walk is on June 11th and the farmers market is in full swing on Saturdays!

We’re also stocked with our favorite outdoor essentials for sunny days, backyard evenings, ball games, lake weekends, and garden time. You’ll find our made-in-house summer staples like sunscreen, bug repellent, bug bite relief rollers, and after-sun spray to help cool and soothe sun-kissed skin.

One more sweet favor: Best of Story County nominations are open, and we would be so grateful if you’d take a couple minutes to nominate Life Distilled and Homegrown. We’ve never made it to the voting round and your nomination would mean so much to our small businesses. Categories that fit us include Gift Shop, Specialty Store, and Locally Owned Business.

Facebook just reminded me that we've been around for 8 years. Believe it or not Life Distilled started out of my home doing workshops, education and blending. Today we're nearly 5 years on Main Street in Ames. Thank you for your continued support of this small business. And thanks Facebook for always reminding us of how old we are. 😂
