💪 6,900 — That’s how many naloxone kits volunteers put together in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day on August 31. 💜

Naloxone is a simple nasal spray that can reverse an opioid overdose and save a life. These kits will be distributed throughout Alaska to make lifesaving naloxone more accessible. Visit iknowmine.org/shop to order your kit today, learn how to use Naloxone, and recognize the signs of an opioid overdose.

Thank you to everyone who helped us build a safer, more prepared Alaska. 🫶

We're excited to share that Alaska Tribes, through the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, now own the Alaska Native Medical Center!

When Tribes took over delivery of their healthcare from the federal government in the 1990s, ANMC, the hospital at the center of the Alaska Tribal Health System, remained federally owned. Until now.

Thanks to a generation of advocacy, our federal partners have acted. This change is more than symbolic: it ensures that Tribes will always determine the future of this crucial facility.
