💙1,508 Free PSA tests this year and counting! That’s 1,508 fathers, husbands, brothers, friends and neighbors who took an important step for their health.

🎗This Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, we’re celebrating what that number means for men across Alaska. With 1 in 8 men diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, access to screening and early detection matters. Through funding from our Foundation, 1,508 PSA blood tests have been provided to Alaska men to date. from community health fairs and events in Fairbanks to hockey night in Anchorage and Cancer Screening Day at the Alaska State Fair.

A simple blood test can help detect prostate cancer early, when treatment can be most effective. By bringing screening opportunities into communities across our state, we’re working to make that first step easier for more Alaska men.

The Alaska Health Fair was at the Alaska State Fair drawing free PSAs for Cancer Screening Day!

We have another big PSA Screening Event happening this Friday, Sept 4th, at Dimond High School’s Homecoming Football Games 🏈🎗️we look forward to seeing you there!

🎗This Thursday 11am-5pm, join us for Free Cancer Screening of Skin Cancer, Oral Cancer, Prostate Cancer (simple blood draw, results mailed), and HPV Vaccines.
🩷Mammograms available, not free but we can bill insurance or see if you are eligible for a mammogram through the Alaska Breast and Cervical Screening Assistance Program.

Spotted on the Tok Telegraph FB page and before our Tok Health Fair setup, our amazing staff member Sharon was already busy helping prepare and organize food for those affected by the Tok Fire.

No fanfare. No hesitation. Just seeing where help was needed and jumping in.

We’re incredibly proud of Sharon — not only for the work she does for Alaska Health Fair, but for the way she shows up for the communities we serve.
