The tantrums aren't the problem. They're the message.📢📣

When a child melts down at the grocery store, refuses shoes for the fourth time this week, or comes undone over a sock seam, the system underneath them is telling you something. The behavior is the window. The brain is what we're actually looking at.

What you've been reading as defiance is often stress physiology your child doesn't have the language for.

Overreaction is usually a nervous system that's run out of room to meet what's being asked of it.

✨None of this is a character flaw. It's what happens when the demand in front of your child is bigger than the tools their brain has built so far.
