Douglas MacArthur has a golden heart for hospice!

🐕 This spring, Douglas completed his 500th therapy dog visit with his handler, Greg Edgin, serving as a quiet companion to those needing comfort.

What began as very personal, with Douglas visiting Greg’s wife while she was a patient at Munson Hospice House, turned into a lasting commitment to volunteerism with Arbor Hospice. 💜

Camp Ohiyesa offers a variety of camp activities and acres of groomed fields and natural woods for play.
This experience combines art, music and conversation with grief education and emotional support.
All activities are facilitated by caring and qualified Arbor Hospice and Hospice of Michigan grief professionals, music therapists and volunteers.

Southeast Care Teams & Leaders from Hospice of Michigan and Arbor Hospice turned up in force for the 18th annual JHCN Henrietta and Alvin Weisberg Caring Coalition Conference on May 20th.

The Jewish Hospice and Chaplaincy Network acknowledged their Hospice Hero Awards during the program.

🎁 For the past three years, the students have gifted blankets and stuffed animals for our patients and bereaved.

🧸 What's more, the stuffed animals will be added to the goody bags that our July 17th Camp Good Grief campers will receive.

Held in natural spaces among acres of groomed fields and woods, Camp Good Grief combines exciting activities like zip-lining or kayaking, art, and music with conversation, grief education and emotional support.
