🔥As a nutrition coach one of my number one goals with clients, is of course helping them achieve their health and fitness goals, but a very close second goal of mine is to teach them a skill that will stick with them for the rest of their lives.

The skill of mastering the kitchen and losing all fear or doubts about cooking.

As a Classically French trained professional Chef I know sometimes many dishes are taught to be rich, heavy and fat laden. American cuisine has become even heavier within the last 10-15 years.

Having trained under some amazing chefs, I quickly fell in love with the California cuisine philosophy of ingredient driven dishes. Stay seasonal, local, and sustainable as much as possible. This style of cooking keeps dishes delicious and very healthy.

I keep this philosophy as the cornerstone of Fit To Be In Your Kitchen's nutritional coaching.

"I thought I had a good week but then I saw the pictures" "I felt great all week but then I looked at the scale" "I had great workouts and a couple PR's this week, still don't see any changes" "I worked my butt off this week but not seeing the changes that some of your other clients had"

Every one of these comments from clients started out with a victory, but then they belittle that victory. Keep the focus on the day to day victories, not the ultimate goal. The ultimate goal is typically at the end of your journey, but you can't get there without piling up the day to day wins.

This story still rings true. From 5 years ago but still very much how we see ourselves. Don't forget to celebrate all the small victories along the way. The work is in all those small victories so never lessen a victory no matter how small it is.
