Ten days ago, our Hanover Manor family experienced a tragedy that shook our community deeply.

Today, we filled a room for Polly. 💜

Residents, families, staff, friends, and members of Winn's Baptist Church came together to remember a woman who was so deeply loved and who meant so much to so many.

The room was packed-and it was beautiful.

There has been so much sadness over the past ten days, but today was also a reminder of what makes Hanover Manor so special. When one of our own hurts, we hurt together. When one of our own needs support, we show up. And when it was time to honor Polly, everyone showed up.

We shared memories. We cried. We laughed. We prayed. And most importantly, we celebrated Polly and the life she shared with all of us.

Her absence will continue to be felt in the halls of Hanover Manor, but so will her presence; in the stories, memories, friendships, and love she left behind.

Today was for you, Polly. 💜

And what a beautiful showing of love it was.

We enjoyed a delicious outing to Cracker Barrel this week! 🍳🥞🤎 Great food, good conversation, and of course, a little browsing in the country store made for the perfect day out. There’s nothing better than sharing a meal and making memories together! 🥰

We had the absolute joy of celebrating our wonderful Clarice’s 100th Birthday! 💕🥳 A whole century of memories, love, laughter, and wisdom and we are so lucky to have her as part of our Hanover Manor family!

This week, the wonderful ladies of our Ladies Club at Lakeside Senior Living traveled to visit the ladies of Hanover Manor for a special luncheon filled with laughter, great conversation, and new friendships.

There’s something truly special about bringing our communities together. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this gathering so special. We can’t wait for the next Ladies Club get-together!

🎶 Music has a way of reaching places that words sometimes cannot. 💙

Our residents had a wonderful time participating in Music Therapy, where familiar melodies sparked smiles, laughter, movement, and meaningful moments of connection.

For individuals living with dementia, music therapy offers so many incredible benefits. Research has shown that it can help reduce anxiety, improve mood, encourage communication, stimulate memories, and even decrease agitation. A favorite song has the remarkable ability to unlock cherished memories and create moments of joy, even in the later stages of dementia.

At Oakview, we love incorporating music into our programming because every note is another opportunity to connect, engage, and enrich the lives of those we are privileged to serve. ❤️🎵

A beautiful day spent exploring! 🌳🦆☀️

Our residents enjoyed an outing to Three Lakes Park, taking in the peaceful scenery, spotting wildlife, and spending time together in the fresh air. There’s nothing like a little adventure and great company to make the day extra special! 💚

Our Memory Care garden is growing beautifully! 🌱🎃🍅

Our pumpkin vine has absolutely taken off, the corn is shooting up, and the tomatoes are thriving! It’s been so much fun watching our courtyard transform, and our residents love checking on the garden each day to see what’s growing next.

Sometimes the simplest moments bring the biggest smiles. 💚
