Ever find yourself completely exhausted at night... but somehow still scrolling, watching one more episode, or doing everything except going to sleep? 😩
💧
There’s actually a name for that: bedtime procrastination. It’s when you delay going to bed even though nothing is really stopping you from sleeping. Sometimes it happens because nighttime feels like the only part of the day that finally belongs to you.
💧
A few ways to make tonight easier:
🤔 Make tomorrow’s decisions tonight. Choose your outfit, figure out breakfast, pack what you need, and write down your priorities. Fewer decisions waiting for you in the morning can make it easier to actually wind down.
🕘 Want 8 hours of sleep? Give yourself more time in bed. Eight hours between getting into bed and your alarm doesn’t necessarily equal eight hours asleep. Building in extra time gives you room to actually fall asleep and account for normal wake-ups during the night.
⏰ Set a bedtime alarm. We set alarms to wake up, but rarely to remind ourselves to go to bed. Set one for when you need to start winding down and give it a name you’ll actually listen to. Yours might be “Girl, go to bed.” 😂
💧
Tonight, protect tomorrow’s energy before tomorrow even gets here. And if you set a bedtime alarm, tell us what you named yours. 👇🏽
