🌟 🎬 🍿 IHC Construction Companies LLC hosted their Annual Day of Caring for the O'Shea Center Community Day Services clients and staff today! This year, the theme was AID Night at the Movies!, bringing Hollywood glamour and blockbuster fun to everyone as we celebrated in style!

There was a lot of fun to be had at the event, from music and dancing to temporary tattoos, a red carpet photo area, and delicious food. Staff and clients look forward to this celebration every year, and time after time we are blown away by IHC's commitment and support.

A HUGE thank you to the team at IHC and everyone who came out to make this red-carpet day one to remember! 🍿 🎟️ 🌟

🍂🎨Fall Leaf Painting!🖌️🍂

On a recent fall evening, clients and staff gathering for the weekly group dinner at Wildwood Trace passed the time with a festive craft! After gathering leaves from our local trees, leaf-painters drew an image on their papers before filling in the shape- or the negative space- with our beautiful autumn leaves acting as the "paint!"

The results were these colorful autumnal collages which can now be seen adorning the hall at our Elgin AID office. Which leaf painting is YOUR favorite? 🍂🎨🖌️

Today, we celebrate the history, culture, and everlasting presence of Indigenous Peoples and their ancestors. We recognize their resilience, perseverance, and incredible contributions to our communities and the world as a whole. Each of their voices are crucial keys to understanding our society- both in the past and in the present.

Take a little time today to educate yourself on indigenous communities by listening to indigenous voices, learning about important indigenous figures, and unlearning harmful stereotypes and rhetoric that continue to hurt communities to this day. Most importantly, celebrate indigenous peoples- not just today, but every day! 🎉🏵️

Our Scouts are hitting the streets with door knockers to spread the word about our Collection Drive for the Unhoused. 💙

We’re collecting new socks, underwear, pants, gloves, and other essential items to help provide comfort and dignity to those in need.
