✨ What's actually happening with every laser pulse?

Every pulse of the laser is designed to target the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy travels down the hair shaft and converts to heat within the follicle, helping reduce future hair growth while protecting the surrounding skin. Since hair grows in cycles, multiple treatments are needed to catch hairs during their active growth phase.

Not all lasers are the same, which is why Alite Laser uses both Alexandrite and Nd:YAG technology. Alexandrite is an excellent option for many lighter skin tones, while Nd: YAG safely treats deeper skin tones and can also be a great choice for clients with recent sun exposure. Having both allows us to customize every treatment for the safest and most effective results.

The technology matters, but so does your technician. An experienced provider knows how to choose the right laser, adjust settings safely, and create a treatment plan based on your skin, your hair, and your goals.

☀️ Worried you have to pause laser hair removal all summer? Good news—you probably don't!

Underarms are one of the easiest areas to treat year-round. And if your bikini line stays covered from the sun, we can often treat that safely too.

We always prefer to treat skin when it's at its palest for the safest and most effective results. While we don't recommend intentionally tanning the areas we're treating, we know Texas summers happen! If you've picked up a little color, even while wearing sunscreen, we can often safely adjust your treatment by using our YAG laser and having you be extra diligent with sun protection and sun exposure for a couple of weeks.

☀️ Sunscreen is your best friend! We recommend wearing SPF daily and protecting treated areas from direct sun whenever possible to keep your skin healthy and your laser treatments on track.

Every treatment is customized to your skin that day because your safety always comes first.
