Your hormones run the show: mood, sleep, weight, energy, libido. All of it.

When they're off, everything feels off.

Not in your head. Not just "stress."

Hormonal.

And completely treatable when you have the right doctor.

The pelvic floor is about more than just Kegels.

While Kegels can help strengthen the pelvic floor, they aren't a one-size-fits-all solution.

Pelvic floor health involves much more than a single exercise. Depending on your symptoms, treatment may also include improving breathing, core coordination, hip strength, movement patterns, and addressing the underlying causes of your symptoms.

Every woman's pelvic floor is different, which is why the best approach starts with understanding what's contributing to your symptoms.

🎧 Listen to Episode 95 to learn more about pelvic floor health, common symptoms, and evidence-based approaches to treatment during perimenopause and menopause.

"Minimally invasive" gets thrown around a lot, so let's actually break it down. 🔍

It means smaller incisions, less time in recovery, lower risk, and getting back to your life faster.

For fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic pain, and abnormal bleeding, you shouldn't have to choose between getting real treatment and taking 6 weeks off your life.

I'm trained specifically in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery so you don't have to.

No one talks about the pelvic floor until something goes wrong.

Bladder leaks. Pelvic pressure. Pain with intimacy. Urinary urgency.

Many women experience these symptoms during perimenopause and menopause — but that doesn't mean they're something you simply have to live with.

In this week's episode, Dr. Jessica Ritch is joined by pelvic floor physical therapist Dr. Rivka Friedman to discuss how hormonal changes affect pelvic health, why these symptoms are so common, and how women can find relief.
