If you have Medicare, this is your reminder to stay on top of your claims! Your Medicare Summary Notice (MSN), or if you have Medicare Advantage, your Explanation of Benefits (EOB), is not a bill. These are detailed records of the services billed to Medicare on your behalf, and reviewing them regularly can help you catch billing errors, spot potential fraud, and track your out-of-pocket costs.

⚠️ Here’s something important to know: Medicare now only mails paper MSNs twice a year. That means if you’re relying on the mail, you could be waiting up to 6 months to see what’s been billed in your name.

With a free online Medicare account at Medicare.gov, you can view your claims within 24 hours after they are processed.

Setting up your account is simple. Visit Medicare.gov and create a secure account using ID.me, CLEAR, or Login.gov. Once you’re in, you can view and track all your claims, review your MSNs electronically, and even print your official Medicare card.

Don’t wait months to find out what’s being billed in your name.
