How does AI impact patients? Over 80 patient advocacy group leaders gathered during to share insights during the second annual Daiichi Sankyo Patient Summit.

Through presentations and a panel discussion, participants explored the limitations of AI and how to navigate its evolving role in healthcare responsibly through transparency, data security, human oversight, and training.

Key takeaways from the summit panelists:

- Anjee Davis, CEO of Fight Colorectal Cancer, shared the Fight CRC team’s successful use of AI to identify gaps in care and improve healthcare processes.

- Dr. Jody Britten delivered an important reminder that not everyone is ready for AI, and that support must be provided for patients who cannot access, lack confidence, or do not trust these tools.
