If your child has struggled with recurring ear infections, you probably know the routine all too well. 👂🏼
They’re uncomfortable, sleep is disrupted, you make another trip to the pediatrician, and just when you think you’re finally past it, another one starts.
Children are more prone to ear infections because their Eustachian tubes are shorter and more horizontal than an adult’s. This can make it easier for fluid to collect and harder for it to drain. As they grow, the tubes become longer and more angled, which is one reason ear infections often happen less frequently with age.
While they’re little, congestion, inflammation, muscle tension, and movement through the upper neck can all affect how this area functions.
Chiropractic care does not treat ear infections, but it can help support your child’s overall function. We use gentle, age-appropriate adjustments to address areas of tension or restricted movement and support the nervous system as their body works to heal and adapt.
If your family feels stuck in the same cycle, it may be helpful to take a step back and look at the whole picture, not just the ear itself. 🤍
