please save VIRGINIA SMALL BUSINESSES! 👏❤️

You want the bad news or the good news first? 👏

The good news is Virginia is legalizing Mary Jane, 🍃 but in the final hours of conference committee, language was quietly added to the Mary Jane bill SB542, that would ban almost all h**p products in Virginia, including non-intoxicating C🐝D Oils and capsules.

This hands the market to monopolistic, BIG out of state corporations, while shutting down Virginia farmers, small businesses, and your favorite local shops, that have worked so hard in this industry for YEARS! 😢

We support full access to mary jane, but throwing the whole h**p industry under the bus 🚌 in the process is NOT logical or in the true spirit of the plant. 💥

I call it “Echo-system” 🔊🦇🖼️🖌️

Virginia is home to these incredible bottomland hardwood forests/river swamps where the state endangered, Rafinesque’s big-eared bat likes to roost in hollow bald cypress trees🌲 It spend its nights eating moths and insects that help keep their ecosystem in balance. 🦋⚖️

It’s a tiny bat, weighing less than an ounce, with ears almost a third of its body length… WOW! 👂

The primary threats to the species are habitat-focused, as these forests are cleared or degraded, due to urban expansion and agricultural conversion.

I was stoked to learn that my art piece, “Echo-system” was selected to be part of the silent auction that held to support habitat restoration for these bats.

Changing your internal view of the world is powerfully enough to SEE your external situations differently.✨

From the Bayou 🐊 to the Blue Ridge🏔️ I’ve learned that contrast is what brings depth to the familiar. ❄️🌞

Contrast is what turns an ordinary moment into something worth pausing for. Like the way I savor a Virginia snow day now, knowing that growing up down the bayou in Louisiana… snow wasn’t exactly part of my winter routine. 🐊👙

…and vice versa, like the way I deeply appreciate the warm summer sun on my skin, knowing that the seasons will soon change.💛

My goal is to create products meant to offer that same type of contrast, products that bring you moments of relief when you feel like you just can’t catch a break, products that help you to settle in and drop deeper into the life you’re already living, a little contrast to your day to help YOU experience the fullness of every season (of life).🎄🌞🌸🍂🍁❄️✨

And remember, we’re all on this rollercoaster 🎢 called life together, and it’s the feeling of the lows and the highs, the contrast, that brings beauty to it all 😘🥹

Today was one of those “look mom, I made it!” moments for me! 🤪💪❤️🫶

We started the morning touring the warehouse of our newest partner, 🍻🍃🍸 the largest craft beverage distributor in Virginia!💪

We then visited 1 of the 20 in Virginia that now have Hiatus on the shelf! 🍷👏🙌

You can already find Hiatus on shelves at over 100 retailers and local bars across the southeast, but stay tuned because we have more exciting partnerships to announce soon! 🥤

❌  The h**p industry was sacrificed.

Yesterday, the “h**p ban” passed that would wipe out 95% of existing h**p products, the very products millions of Americans rely on for relief, wellness, balance, sleep, and calm.

💪BUT WE’RE NOT GIVING UP, we have 365 days to regulate, NOT BAN.

We already have a strong game plan in place, with a bill already in the works to replace the total ban with common sense h**p regulation.
 
We fought this far with your help and will need it moving forward. ❤️
