These partnerships allow us to offer more comprehensive, collaborative care by supporting the whole child in one familiar setting. No more juggling appointments! Your child can receive OT, ST, and ABA services all in one place.

What this means for our families:

✅ Fewer weekly commutes—more time for life outside of therapy

⏰ August Tip Reminder: Make Transitions Easier

Does your child struggle when it's time to leave the playground, turn off the TV, or clean up toys?

Instead of asking them to stop suddenly, try giving countdown reminders:
🕔 "5 more minutes."
🕑 "2 more minutes."
🕐 "One more minute, then we're all done."

Using a visual timer or showing a picture of the next activity can make transitions even smoother by helping your child know what to expect.

Remember, the goal isn't to eliminate every difficult transition; it's to make them more predictable. With consistency and practice, many children begin to feel more confident moving from one activity to the next.

✨ Small changes in how we prepare for transitions can lead to big successes over time!

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Kindal

This month, we're excited to introduce Kindal!

Kindal has experience as both a behavior technician and a trainer, helping support and mentor others in the field. She has been an RBT for over a year and is currently finishing her Bachelor's degree in Psychology as she works toward her goal of becoming a BCBA.

When asked what she loves most about ABA, Kindal shared that she loves seeing results that can be seen daily through the progress of clients. She enjoys being a safe space for them while helping them work through emotions that can be complex, and she says it makes her feel good knowing she gets to make a real difference through her career every day. Kindal also shared that ABA has opened up a whole new level of compassion she didn't even know was possible to have, and that seeing her clients instantly brightens her day when she comes to work.

Kindal's passion, compassion, and dedication to making a positive impact shine through in everything she does. We are grateful to have her as part of the Ascent team and look forward to watching her continue to grow in her ABA career!
