💜 Staff Spotlight: Reese, RBT, RLT! 💜

With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, Reese has always had a genuine love for people and caring for others. Her goal in every interaction? To simply be someone’s “breath of fresh air.”

Reese loves ABA because it brings together clinical programs and the power of play to help clients grow. From being silly and building meaningful connections to celebrating milestones big and small, she says getting to watch her clients grow is the absolute best part of her day!

And of course, Reese has plenty of love for her coworkers, too! 💙 She says she truly “hit the jackpot” with this team. They match her energy, tolerate her silliness, and help make even the craziest days feel like a breeze.

💛 Building Frustration Tolerance Takes Practice! 💛

Frustration is a normal emotion for both kids and adults! Learning how to handle frustration is a skill that develops over time, just like building a muscle. 💪

Instead of immediately solving a challenge for your child, try offering support while giving them opportunities to work through it:

✨ Break tasks into smaller steps to make challenges feel more manageable
✨ Offer hints or encouragement instead of immediately giving the answer
✨ Help name the feeling: “I can see you’re frustrated. This is hard!”
✨ Praise the effort, even when the task doesn’t go perfectly
✨ Model calming strategies like deep breathing, wall pushes, or other safe ways to release frustration
✨ Show them what coping looks like by staying calm and talking through your own feelings when things don’t go as planned

Remember, the goal isn’t to eliminate frustration, it’s to help children learn that they can experience frustration and still keep going. 🌱

Small challenges + supportive practice = stronger coping skills over time. 💛
