October is here 🍂
I don't know about you but I am feeling that whisper of Autumn Rest in such a tender way this year.
The crisp breeze softly invites me along the crunchy forest paths to breathe in the sights and smells of the leaves, both a parting gift and a promise of return from the trees. The dropping temperatures start to bring on big cozy sweaters that I wait all year to pull out and there's something so freeing about how it feels like the societal pressure to dress any way but comfortable melts away a bit. The slow transition from staying cool to keeping warm. Wrapping my hands around mugs and sharing a lap blanket with close friends.
The fall is our last big push of color before everything slows down fully for hibernation.
While it already feels like a call to cozy up, Im committed to tending for my winter seeds. To remember to keep going out into the woods, into community, into the cold.
Even while we sleep, we never lie completely still throughout the night. Deep within our slumber our dreams are created, our work is integrated, our bodies process and heal all in the dark! Another reflection of our mother Earth, so much of the movement happens under the surface. In the quiet and the stillness.
In small but impactful ways we are always moving, growing, changing and expanding. This is the season for that growth to happen on the inside, going deeper, more embodied, less visible and more foundational. Not through working harder but through true, guiltless, rest.
Wishing you many blessings and much love through your seasons. 💓
