I see this all the time.

Someone schedules their first appointment online, waits two months to get in, comes for their session, feels better, and then asks:

"How long until I can get back in?"

Usually about two months.

That's why my recommendation has always been the same: once a week for six weeks. It's also best to schedule those appointments up front.

Not because six sessions is some magic number, but because consistency matters in the beginning. It's much easier to create meaningful change when we're building momentum instead of starting over every couple of months.

Those sessions aren't set in stone. If you're progressing faster than expected, we can always cancel appointments you don't need.

My goal is to help you get to a good place as quickly as possible. That rarely happens when sessions are spread out randomly in the beginning.

You're absolutely welcome to schedule a single appointment to see if the work is a good fit. Just understand that if you decide to continue, there will likely be a wait before we can build that momentum.

TMJ isn’t just about the jaw… and treating it like it is can be why relief doesn’t last.

The jaw and pelvis are deeply connected through the fascial system — one continuous web that distributes tension, movement, and compensation throughout the entire body.

So what happens when we only treat the jaw?

You might feel temporary relief…

But if the pelvis (and the rest of the body) is still holding tension or imbalance, that pull can travel right back up — recreating the same symptoms.

This is why TMJ can feel like a cycle:

✨ Jaw pain improves… then returns

✨ Clicking or tension comes back

✨ Neck, shoulders, or even hips stay tight

Because the root cause was never fully addressed.

The body doesn’t work in isolated parts.

It works as a connected system.

Imagine the impact if care looked like this:

🤝 Dentists

🤝 Myofascial therapists

🤝 Doctors

🤝 Optometrists

All working together… not separately.

That’s where real, lasting change happens.

💜 When we stop chasing symptoms and start supporting the whole body, healing becomes possible.

“Fascia remembers what the mind forgets,” a concept often attributed to Dr. Robert Schleip, suggests that the body’s connective tissue can store traces of physical and emotional experiences long after the conscious mind has moved on.

Fascia acts as a sensory network, holding patterns of tension related to past injuries, stress, or unresolved emotions such as fear, anger, or grief.

Even when we are no longer mentally aware of these experiences, the body may continue to express them through tightness, discomfort, or restricted movement.

This idea highlights why body-based practices like yoga, breathwork, deep tissue massage, and myofascial release can be powerful—not only for physical relief but also for emotional release—supporting a more holistic approach to healing that involves both mind and body.
