Post 3 showed you the reveal. This is the part in between, and it is the part almost nobody posts.

Ashley has photographed her own healing since 2021. Every session, redness included. She did not clean it up for us.

Evening of treatment, flushed and warm. Two days later it is already settling. Four days later she is made up and out of the house.

The last photo is from the following year, a completely different session. Same window, same pattern. That is the part that matters, because it means what you are looking at is what it actually does, not one lucky round.

"Botox didn't work on me." People really say this. In July I found out why they're wrong.

I'm the guy who makes this page. I'd never had a neurotoxin before, so I put a camera on the whole thing. Layla told me two things before she started: don't judge it for two weeks, and come back in two weeks no matter what.

Day 3, nothing. Day 6, barely anything. That's normal, and she'd already warned me. The clinic gets calls the very next day from people who don't see a change yet.

At the two week visit she went looking for the spots where my face was still moving, and adjusted. That second appointment isn't an upsell. It's the half that makes the first half work. Skip it and you'd spend the next four months telling everyone it did nothing for you.

What I got was Xeomin, by Merz. Layla chose it at my consult because I'm male and have stronger muscles. Botox is a brand name, not the category.

There's a new bottle on our shelf, and it's the strongest arnica we've been able to find anywhere.

Most arnica creams stop somewhere around 5%. This one is 10% arnica montana, sitting in a base of jojoba, high-oleic sunflower, argan, and meadowfoam, with aloe, chamomile, rose, and willow bark in there too.

What it does is simple. It helps reduce the appearance of bruising, swelling, and discoloration after a procedure. That's the whole job.

The base matters more than most people expect. It was chosen specifically so it leaves no white cast, which means it works on every skin tone. Bruising and discoloration read differently on deeper skin, and a cream that only disappears on some people isn't really finished.

Use it for the days after. Injectables, laser, microneedling, peels, and everyday bumps and bruises. Start once the skin has closed.

One honest thing, because we'd rather say it than have you find out. It is not a magic eraser. Nothing erases a bruise. What this does is help your body do what it's already doing.

It went viral before it ever got to us. We got curious, tried it, and kept it. We bring in the Korean formulation.

It's 0.1% retinal, not retinol. Retinal is the stronger of the two, which is why how often you use it matters more than the tube itself.

If you've never used a retinoid, start with once a week. Move to twice a week after a couple of weeks. Work up to every other day, and stop there. That's the ceiling.

Stop using it 10 days before any laser or chemical peel, or anything else that works by controlled damage. And it replaces your current retinol rather than layering on top of one. If you're on prescription tretinoin, check with us first.

Pregnant, nursing, or being treated for an active skin cancer? That one needs your doctor's approval before you start.

Most people notice a difference in a month to six weeks. Mid 30s is the ideal time to start.

That's Layla's face on the scan. She ran it on herself, which is the only reason we can be this blunt about what's on it.

Most of the speckling you see is normal pigment. Everyone has it. The damage is the darker clusters. The red pass shows vessels, which are a completely different problem and get a completely different treatment.

That's the point of looking first. What we find is what decides the plan.
