🟥 I thought replacing my implants would finally make me feel better. Instead, that’s when everything changed.
I almost didn’t share this. But I wanted HER to know.
For years, I questioned myself.
I wondered if I was overthinking it. If I was imagining it. If maybe this was just what getting older felt like.
But deep down, I knew something wasn’t right. It’s that gut feeling that we tend to ignore.
I got breast implants in 2004 and spent years feeling sick without understanding why.
Searching for answers with no real explanation.
After multiple visits to various specialists, all told me I was fine. My plastic surgeon said, it’s time.
So, I made the decision to replace my implants hoping things would improve.
Instead, they got a lot worse.
That’s when everything really changed.
After my implant exchange, my symptoms rapidly escalated.
What had already been years of unexplained health struggles began spiraling out of control.
Fatigue. Joint Pain. Brain fog. Migraines. Heart palpitations. Hair loss. Inflammation. Numbness.
Eventually that list grew to 30+ symptoms.
Then, came something I never expected.
I was eventually suffering from 3 autoimmune diseases.
I spent years trying to understand what my body was trying to tell me.
Missing moments with my family. Years feeling like I was just surviving. Years explaining symptoms that didn’t make sense.
Looking back, I lost 12 years of precious time. Time I cannot get back.
Finally, I learned about Breast Implant Illness.
In 2017, I made one of the hardest decisions of my life and chose to explant.
Healing wasn’t overnight. But, I embraced the journey.
Girl, this isn’t fear. This is transparency.
My mission is education. Informed consent. Empowering women to ask questions. Helping women feel supported and make decisions aligned with their own health.
This isn’t anti-implant. This is Pro-choice.
Pro-women having access to conversations they deserve.
If my story helps one woman connect the dots sooner ⚪️⚪️⚪️ then sharing it was worth it.
