The Treasure Valley Family YMCA announces a special Parkinson’s Caregiver Support Group funded by the Parkinson's Foundation. Four educational sessions will focus on caregiver resilience and the grieving process, along with monthly peer discussions. Sessions begin September 15 and will be held on the third Tuesday of each month at the Y Community Hub, with a virtual option available.

After a traumatic event, like a shooting or wildfire, it’s normal to feel on edge or have intrusive memories in the weeks that follow. These reactions don’t mean you have PTSD. PTSD isn’t diagnosed until at least 30 days after the event; before that, it’s called acute stress disorder.

"Ethical Decision-Making in Dementia Care: Balancing the Caregiver's Needs and Patient's Best Interests" is a free live virtual session on September 8.

It offers 1 hour of Ethics CE credit for psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers.
