"I don't think I can do this."
I've heard some version of that sentence from a lot of students over the years.
I remember one student who came into a weekend Mediumship class not really knowing why she was there.
She wasn't sure she believed she could do any of it. Someone had encouraged her to explore Mediumship, and somehow that eventually led her into my classroom.
She fought it most of the first day.
At one point, she wasn't even sure she was coming back the next morning.
But she did.
On the second day, we began doing practice readings. She went into a session with a practice client and made a connection.
When she came out, she was crying.
"I did it. I actually did it."
She had connected with the woman's grandmother and had given her information that was validated by her Sitter.
That one experience didn't suddenly make her an accomplished Medium.
But it changed something in her.
➡️She went from I can't do this to I did this.
And then she practiced.
She made commitments to herself about how many readings she would do, and she did them. She continued her training. She kept developing. And she became very good at the work.
Sometimes the ability isn't the biggest obstacle.
It's believing in yourself long enough to give the ability a chance to develop.
If you are already getting intuitive hits, sensing people, receiving information or wondering whether there is more to what you've been experiencing, you don't have to already know that you can do this.
That's what development is for.
Mediumship Made Simple starts September 3.
We'll work with the fundamentals, help you understand how you receive information, and give you opportunities to practice and receive validation.
You don't have to walk through the door saying, "I know I can do this."
You can walk through saying, "I want to find out."
