We can spend so much time trying to go further.
Deeper into the stretch.
Further into the shape.
Holding a pose a little longer because we think more must mean better.
But yoga reminds us that depth isn’t always measured by how far our body can go.
Sometimes going deeper means noticing what we’re feeling instead of pushing it away.
Listening to what our body is asking for instead of forcing it.
Getting curious about the thoughts, habits, fears, and stories that we carry with us long after we roll up our mat.🙌
Maybe the deeper practice today isn’t about reaching your toes or finding the “full expression” of a pose.
Maybe it’s about being honest with yourself.
Giving yourself permission to soften.☁️
Or simply becoming a little more aware of the person underneath the pose. ❤️
Because sometimes the most meaningful progress happens when we stop trying to go further—and start learning to go inward. Janette Perry Brown
