Have you heard about soap nuts? It's not really a nut but a berry that forms a hard shell that when dried resembles a nut. The shells contain saponin, a natural detergent that is released when the shell absorbs water. The shells (nuts) can be used for anything you would normally use detergent for, such as laundry, hand soap, even washing the car! They are a great option for those with allergies to regular detergents, and a great way to reduce your carbon footprint. To learn more about soap nuts and how to use them stop in soon.
