If you’re dealing with degenerative disc disease, the hip flexor stretch is one of the most effective ways to reduce tension and improve how your low back moves 🙌
To do it, start in a kneeling position on a pillow or yoga mat with one foot in front of you. From there, the key isn’t just leaning forward, it’s focusing on posture and control 💡
Squeeze your glutes to tuck your pelvis slightly, which helps you avoid arching your lower back.
You should feel a deep stretch through the front of the hip and into the quad on the kneeling side.
Hold for about 30 seconds per side, repeating 2–3 times daily to help improve mobility and reduce tension through the hips and low back.
