Today, the residents made bird feeders, but somehow it became about so much more than feeding birds.
There was laughter mixed into every scoop of seed, stories shared between smiles, and gentle reminders that purpose never fades with age. Something as simple as creating a bird feeder became an opportunity to connect, create, and brighten not only the world outside our windows, but the hearts inside our community.
The birds may enjoy the treats, but the real gift was watching our residents light up while making them.
Here’s to filling hearts the same way we filled feeders… one seed, one smile, and one beautiful moment at a time.

Memory Care Moments at Butler Rehab 💜

If you’ve ever walked through our Memory Care neighborhood, you know it’s never boring! One minute we’re reminiscing about first cars, the next we’re debating the proper way to make biscuits and gravy.
Our residents may not always remember what day it is, but they never forget how to make us smile. Between the stories, laughter, dancing, singing, and occasional “Alexa play the oldies” and it becomes a dance party every day is filled with moments that matter.

Memory care isn’t about remembering every detail it’s about creating joy in the moment, finding comfort in familiar faces, and making every resident feel loved, valued, and at home.

Today, a couple of our gentlemen who proudly served our country had the opportunity to experience the honor, history, and education preserved by the founders of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund and The Wall That Heals.
It was an eye-opening, meaningful, and deeply honorable experience—one that brought reflection, gratitude, and heartfelt memories. They were also presented with a medal, making the day even more special and personal.Seeing the smiles, emotion, and pride on their faces reminded us how important it is to honor those who served and to preserve the stories that should never be forgotten.
We are grateful they were able to experience something so powerful and moving. Enjoy these heartfelt photos of two very happy gentlemen who carry a lifetime of service, sacrifice, and pride.
