We had an amazing Saturday at NAMIWalks on Boston Common! The sun was shining and the weather was perfect for people across the Commonwealth to come together and walk in support of mental health awareness and advocacy. As Massachusetts residents face growing uncertainty amid the mental health housing freeze, Vinfen President and CEO Jean Yang is sounding the alarm on the urgent need for stable, community-based behavioral health housing and support services.

Mental health advocates say that without additional funding, a key Massachusetts housing program would be able to help 400 fewer people next year.

Executive Director of PACT Services Michelle Weiser recently retired from the military on May 2 after 27 years of service. Michelle nominated Vinfen for the ESGR Freedom Award, which is the highest recognition given by the U.S. Government to employers for exceptional support of National Guard and Reserve employees. Some of our leadership attended the Massachusetts ESGR Awards & Recognition Luncheon on Friday, May 1.

Though we may not have won the award, we were honored to be nominated by Michelle and recognized for our support of our serving and veteran employees. We also extend our congratulations to Michelle for her 27 years of service; we are proud to have you as part of our Vinfen team!

Our night with the Longwood Symphony Orchestra this past weekend was one to remember. We had an evening filled with inspiring music and community coming together in support of our mission.
