Stop comparing your CPAP leak numbers to strangers online. Seeing someone post a 3.2 leak when yours is sitting at 14 does not mean your machine is broken. Different masks and systems report data totally differently. Focus on how you feel and your overall therapy results instead of trying to win a nonexistent lowest leak trophy.

Most people think their CPAP is pumping pure oxygen all night. They are totally wrong. Room air is being used, but the way pressure actually saves your breathing makes a massive difference. Watch till the end to see why this distinction matters.

Think late-night snacks are all bad? Think again! Spicy, heavy, and sugary foods can mess with your sleep, but some snacks might be okay. Know what to munch on before bed for better rest!

You’re wearing your CPAP every night.

Your machine says you’re doing great. Your AHI looks good.

**So why are you STILL waking up exhausted? 😴**

Wearing CPAP all night doesn’t always mean you’re getting effective CPAP therapy.

And sometimes, the reason you’re still tired may have nothing to do with your CPAP machine at all.

In this video, I break down some of the biggest reasons people still feel tired even when they’re consistently using CPAP—and what you should do if it keeps happening.

Why your CPAP feels like it is trying to inflate your head. Most people do not know that measured in centimeters of water pressure, more is not actually better. You just need enough to keep your airway open without causing leaks and comfort problems. Stop copying random settings online.

Stop turning sleep into a pressure-filled test! The more you force it, the further it slips away. Sleep isn’t something you do — it’s something your brain chooses when it feels safe. Relax, let go, and trust the process. Your body knows what to do.

Your fixed CPAP machine might actually be working against how you sleep. Traditional machines just stay at one prescribed pressure all night. But an auto adjusting APAP responds to your sleeping positions and airway changes in real time. Wait until you see how it figures out when you need more pressure.

CPAP isn’t breathing for you—and it usually isn’t giving you oxygen. So what is it actually doing? When you fall asleep, your airway can narrow or collapse, causing your brain to repeatedly wake you up just enough to start breathing normally again—even if you never remember it happening.

Stop tightening your CPAP mask until your face looks shrink wrapped. I see people obsessed with getting leak numbers to zero, but over tightening actually crushes the cushion and stops it from inflating. You are making the leak way worse on purpose.

Waking up with your CPAP mask across the room does not mean you are failing. Your sleeping brain is just really good at removing things it dislikes, so finding it off does not mean the therapy is not working for you.
